Syncing with Motif 8 & Sonar

On the motif:

  1. utility->midi-> sync -> set to MIDI and not internal.
  2. Make sure your Motif is in Song mode


In Sonar:
Make sure you are sending midi clock to port 1 (if the Motif is using MIDI port 1) by looking under the midi out tab in the project preferences:
  1. click options -> project options-> midi out
  2. make sure that Transmit MIDI start/continue/stop/clock is checked.
  3. check use start, never continue, and check Transmit MIDI SPP.
  4. also, under the clock tab...make sure that audio or internal is checked.
