- Seemed ok AT FIRST!
I purchased this unit during the '06-'07 Christmas season. I was looking for an inexpensive unit, since I heard (and continue to to this day to) that DVD/VHS combos tend to be very touchy. I had a fair sized VHS collection that I wanted to be able to view, while not owning many DVD's, so for the price I figured I would give it a chance. MISTAKE! The few DVD's did play well, and the functionality was good. But the VHS never worked that well, even tapes that I had with little to no play on them yielded not... more info
- As cheap as it's price
Bought this VCR/DVD combo at deep discount so I wasn't expecting much. So, I wasn't surprised when I found out there was no antenna connection. Had to hook up an RF Modulator (and before this, I had no idea what an RF Modulator was - so, I guess I did learn something). Then, after two months of use, the DVD player gave up the ghost. Nothing. I had to take the unit apart just to retrieve my DVD.
If you're looking for a cheap, short term solution until you get something nicer, then this is your unit. If... more info

Although I am 'electronically challenged' when I called the help number the whiz-kid on the other end of the phone know precisely what was going on just by telling him what appeared on the screen. The machine plays perfectly whenever I use it.
