First time I have ordered from Amazon. Just got the computer in June. I bought so many good books that I havent been able to get to this book yet. Ordering from Amazon was so neat. Just pick what you want, use my debit card and it comes right to the door. I think I owe my mailman an apology because Ive had so many packages come that it makes extra work for him. I got all the other Temperance Brennan books at the library and there were several not available any longer. So to be able to read the ones I... more info
- Not Reichs' best, but okay
Okay, like all the Temperance Brennan books by Kathy Reichs that I've read, I enjoyed 'GRAVE SECRETS', but this was not her best effort. The story was pretty good, though for me at least, hard to follow with a large number of characters to keep track of, even though I take notes as I go along. Brennan was in top form getting to the bottom of things (in this one the very bottom) and shaking up the bad guys. The ending was kind of out of no where though. What was Tempe thinking by going out to investigate in... more info
- Literally Amazing!
Once again Kathy Reichs teaches me something new. Her descriptions are so detailed I feel I am standing by her side watching rather then reading. After falling in love with her TV series Bones I realized she was a best selling author. I first read Bones to Ashes on it's release. And immediately bought all back books and started from her first one up. I love her detailed descriptions!! I already have her on my preorder list waiting for her next one!
- don't lecture me
Reichs' heavy handed way of getting the scientific explanations in through dialogue frequently brings the novel to a standstill. The storyline is interesting enough but the writing style is uninteresting, perhaps even sophomoric.
